The Team Losi Motor Plate is constructed of aluminum and is considerably stronger than the stock unit. It is anodized for looks and also features some milling to lighten it up a bit and create more surface area for cooling.

After running our XXX with this plate, cooling is what it is all about. When using the stock plate, after a few runs it would become very hot (to the point where you would not want to touch it). After installing our aluminum motor plate, you can feel the difference. Literally. The plate is MUCH cooler than the stocker and that means it is dissipating the heat from the motor more efficiently. Less heat means stronger magnets and less electrical resistance.

Installation is a bit of a pain as you will have to remove and disassemble the transmission to gain access to one of the plate mounting bolts. Not a big deal. It gives you a chance to clean and re-grease the trans.

The plate comes in a few different colors to match your truck and retails for a whopping $10. One of the best $10 RC purchases we have made so far.

NOTE: You need to be careful when working around the motor and plate because they get very hot, hot enough to burn you! Read your Owners Manual!
